Hello and Welcome to my journal!

Let me start by saying that I’m a rather complex woman so preparing a quick bio is quite the challenge. Until I can find the right words, let’s start with this:

I’m Southern and proud of it.

I greet folks with “Hey” because it’s a wonderful way to offer a hug without the embrace.

I’m an introvert, creative type, spouse to a Steelers fan, mother of an adult boy and a grown up girl and Gigi to the best grandson EVER.

I’m a home cook, a sign maker, an administrator, self-taught graphic designer, day dreamer, night dreamer, list maker, art enthusiast and recipe collector.

I’m your person if you’re seeking someone with patience and a good ear. I can also be awkward and super cautious about friendships.

Cupcakes & Sneakers is a life journal and prayerfully a place for sharing, growth and connecting. I write this in the midst of a unique period in time of social distancing and uncertainty of how we’ll navigate the world with each other afterwards. Hopefully this blog and others will help keep us virtually connected.
